Jungbunzlauer is a globally leading supplier of natural ingredients. All of its products are made from renewable raw materials through natural fermentation processes. Headquartered in Switzerland, the company operates production plants in Austria, Canada, France, and Germany. Founded in 1867, Jungbunzlauer has developed into a specialized manufacturer of citric acid, biogums, gluconates, lactic acid, special salts, and sweeteners. Its products are widely used across the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, and various industrial sectors. All products are derived from renewable resources via natural fermentation.

Citrics Series

Citric acid is a naturally occurring fruit acid, known for its well-balanced acidity and high solubility. As a result, it is the most widely used organic acid and pH regulator in food and beverage applications.

Special Salts

Jungbunzlauer’s special salts are high-quality, highly bioavailable organic mineral salts derived from citric acid, gluconic acid, or lactic acid. Our calcium, magnesium, and potassium salts are widely used for mineral fortification in food, beverages, nutritional products, and pharmaceuticals, thanks to their excellent technical and nutritional properties. Sodium citrate can also serve as a low-moisture alternative in applications such as desiccants and effervescent tablets.

Lactics Series

This is the latest product line from Jungbunzlauer. The core structure of this group is based on L(+)-lactic acid, the second most widely used food-grade organic acid after citric acid.
Due to its antimicrobial properties, pH regulation, moisture retention, and flavor-enhancing functions, lactic acid is widely used in food, personal care, and industrial applications.
